Great Suburbs to Move to Around The Twin Cities

The Twin Cities can be a magnificent place to live for a lot of people. You have two major cities coinciding with each other to make a massive place of diversity and things to do. You have St. Paul on one side and Minneapolis on the other. This could make for a pretty difficult decision of where to move. That is why we are here to help! Brooklyn Park

First up, we have Brooklyn Park. Located about 18 miles north of the Twin Cities, you will be looking at an average trip of about 29 minutes. This suburb is all about community. All year long, they offer great activities that the whole family can take part in. Rain or snow, they will have you excited to get out of the house. The city is about 85% developed, and is still a strong community. Just imagine when it is 100% developed. They are also really important when it comes to tech and manufacturing to lead and innovate America in its endeavours. If you are looking for a great community and brilliant engineer friends, this will be the place for you.

Champlin

Next up is the good ole suburb named Champlin. Champlin is located about 27 miles north making for a 40 minute commute on average. What it lacks in proximity, in makes up for in community. This is less of a big city suburb, and more of a homey area. Equipped with gorgeous views and calming atmospheres, Champlin will be perfect for one who is not yet used to the big city life. Best part is, they listen to the people and are already working on making commute to the big city faster and more efficient. In this suburb, you can rest easy knowing that you are really a part of it and are heard.

Maple Grove

Maple Grove is an all around kind of suburb. Located about 24 miles away, Maple Grove is about a 30-40 minute commute to the Twin Cities. With it being all around, you can find everything here. If you are looking for some great property, this is the place to go. If you are looking to start a business, this is also the place. Most of all, if you are looking for a great residence and fun times, this is the place! They even have the Maple Grove Community Center which has indoor and outdoor playgrounds, ice skating, indoor and outdoor pools, and a great picnic area. This makes Maple Grove out to be one of the top places you can live.

Otsego

Otsego just happens to be one of the safest neighborhoods in the Twin Cities. Being safe comes at a price though. Otsego is about 48 minutes away from the Twin Cities, meaning you will have to commute 39.2 miles when you need to go into Minneapolis or St. Paul. This town does also thrive in the winter. They have great snowmobile tracks and great parks to make you take the whole family out for a trip. Also, a great place for business and leisure.

Rogers

If you are looking for the small town feel and wide open space, this is the place for you. Rogers is about a 36 minute commute to the Twin Cities, making up for 31 miles. This small suburb is starting to grow very quickly. It is a fantastic place to set up shop and get your business going. They also offer many jobs, and an average household income that is among the best in the area. All you really need to know is that you can expect a great and peaceful life out in Rogers.

St. Michael

St. Michael offers a great, family filled community, but is also the farthest away from the Twin Cities. The commute time is looking to be 53 minutes on average, equaling out to be 37 miles. Unless you have a really great job in the Twin Cities, I would recommend on choosing something closer. If not, this might be the place for you! You should also keep in mind that this was rated the 8th best city in Minnesota based on unemployment rate, cost of living, crime rate, high school graduation rate, median household income, median home price, and median rent price. Basically, this means this town is another great option for an all around suburb!
